I have been on the search for a new bean, preferably a local group. You fit both areas. I did my own style side-by-side taste test. I used a 4 teaspoon scoop, cleaned between beans, 7 ounces of water, (less than I would normally brew but wanted a strong representation), every drip cone recieved 3 pours to equal the 7 ounces, then the coffee was heated (sadly in the microwave) to 148 degrees, much cooler than I normally drink. Results from just smelling the beans whole and ground were less aroma from the Blues and Bigfoot, Sumatra was wonderful and stronger. The smell and taste of brewed coffee tests resulted about the same. Less distingtion between Blues and Bigfoot, Sumatra again the winner. Love all, when I feel like a stronger brew certain mornings, I’ll use the Sumatra. Bet this is more detail than you maybe wanted, but oh well.
